Mission Statement
Parkview Church - people seeking the presence of God, preparing themselves for ministry and proclaiming Jesus Christ to the world.
Vision Statement
• Parkview Church is a growing, multi-generational Christian community.
• Our gatherings are a Bible-based blend of traditional and contemporary
worship designed to encourage people to encounter God in the power of the Holy Spirit.
• We purpose to develop mature, passionate
disciples who will impact their world for Jesus Christ with wisdom and sensitivity.
• We value and will continue to minister to our church family. Furthermore, we will pursue young families in Guelph and serve their needs.

We Value The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit:
Imperative to the “inner life” of Parkview is the dynamic presence and working of the Holy Spirit. As a church that values the ‘Pentecostal experience’, we rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us, convict us, teach us, pray through us, and empower us. We believe that making room for the Holy Spirit produces a distinct and dynamic quality about our church that overflows and blesses our community.

We Value Interactive Worship:
We believe that God is the Supreme Being who has revealed Himself to His creation and has designed us to enjoy Him and worship Him forever. Since He created us for this purpose (Rev.4:11), we are invited to interact with Him intimately and personally. Worship is not a spectator sport! Our worship is designed to be Bible-based, PARTICIPATORY and balanced in style, content and expression.

We Value The Bible:
We believe that the Bible (God’s word to Us) is the only inspired, totally authoritative manual for Christian life and maturity that we have. We desire to see people experience God’s word in a variety of settings where they can discover its’ transforming power. We believe the Bible should be taught with excellence and accuracy in a relevant, creative and understandable manner.

We Value Prayer:
We believe that prayer is the fundamental element of the Christian faith. Prayer is one of our primary means of communicating with God. God’s will is accomplished through prayer!

We Value People:
Every person is valuable to God and He desires them to be part of His family. We endeavour, therefore, to provide an atmosphere of respect and freedom where people feel loved, esteemed and valued for who they are. We want to encourage people to grow in their spiritual lives until they are fully committed, prepared, mature and active disciples of Jesus, serving in their gifts with passion and purpose!

We Value Godly Leadership:
We believe the church of Jesus Christ should be led by those with leadership gifts, and that such leadership should be committed to accountability, integrity, holiness, passion, and love for/sensitivity to people.

We Value Outreach:
Through relationships, being present and involved practically in our community as Christians, sharing our story of how Christ has changed our lives, introducing others to our circle of friends in the church family, inviting people to experience Jesus Christ personally, plus through missions efforts/projects and mass-appeals locally and globally, we can all accomplish effective outreach.

We Value Ministry As A Team:
We believe that every believer is created for ministry, gifted for ministry, authorized for ministry and necessary for ministry. We believe that the church needs to function as a team. We will train, mobilize and encourage every believer to participate in the ministries of the church.

We Value Christian Community:
We believe that the family of God is a unique expression of love, fellowship and community. We also believe the nature of this community to be distinct/different from what the world offers. Therefore, it is our mission to build an atmosphere conducive for the development of quality relationships—established on the Lordship & truth of Jesus Christ and maintained in the health, love and unity of the spirit within the body of Christ locally.
